What I'm up to these days
What is this?
Here I keep an up-to-date list of the things I'm focusing on and what I'm doing. Think of it as a more relevant and interesting "About" page. Inspired by nownownow.com.

It's the time of year where I start reflecting on the last year and start putting my plans for the next down on paper. I recently bought a Midori Hibino paper planner, so I'm excited to start planning my year the old-fashioned way. I have a few weeks off of work, so Yoomin and I have been relaxing, decompressing, and getting caught up on date activities we've been meaning to do (ice-skating, more DC museums, etc.).
Speaking of work, this year i started working at the Pentagon as part of the Space Force Secretariat staff. It's a busy job, but one where I can actually influence positive changes across our space enterprise, so I'm excited for this challenge.
Currently reading:
- Assignment: Pentagon: How to Excel in a Bureaucracy (Daniel M. Gerstein and Perry M. Smith) - a practical guide to succeeding in my workplace
- The Apollo Murders (Chris Hadfield) - fun thriller
- lots of international security papers, some rereads from grad school...the best of the best may make it to the reading list page.
Currently watching
- The West Wing, season 1 (my first time watching, it really holds up well!)
Currently listening to
- I've been going to the gym consistently for a while now, and Sleep Token has been my go-to lifting music these days. That, and the occasional K-Pop Demon Hunters OST relisten...
Projects
- I recently purchased a 3D printer (Prusa Core One+) after not having one for my years in Korea, and it's so much fun! I'll post a few of the projects here as I work on some ideas. I'm currently printing an organizational system for my garage tool chests called Gridfinity to get my garage toolboxes in perfect order.
